Twelve members of the NHC Chapter at Maggie Walker Governor's School in Richmond, Virginia entered the Blanton Scholars competition at the Virginia Historical Society. Four members, Ben Swartz, Corinne Ridderhof, Jessi Merry, and Michael Douglass were named Blanton Scholars for exemplary research and writing on the character and personal qualities of George Washington.
